Sam Altman lands new job at Microsoft

In a twist worthy of a soap opera, OpenAI's ex-CEO Sam Altman has been handed a golden ticket to head up Microsoft's new AI team after being shown the exit door at the former.

Allegedly, Altman's downfall was his 'inconsistent candor' with the board, a reason that remains shrouded in mystery.

The drama took another turn when he posted a pic wearing an OpenAI guest pass, sparking rumors of a comeback.

But no, he's off to Microsoft to lead their advanced AI research stating "Today was a weird experience in many ways. But one unexpected one is that it has been sorta like reading your own eulogy while you're still alive. The outpouring of love is awesome."

OpenAI has named Emmett Shear, formerly of Amazon's Twitch, as interim CEO. Oh, the AI intrigue!

No- sadly ChatGPT cannot find the best Black Friday deals

ChatGPT may be the talk of the town, but when it comes to offering credible Black Friday shopping help, it falls flat.

In an attempt to see if it could replace human shopping reporters during the Black Friday frenzy, the results were far from impressive.

Basic questions about Black Friday deals, whether for robot vacuums or the latest tech gadgets, left ChatGPT stumped. It couldn't provide live data or actual deals, no matter how specific the queries got.

In the end, while ChatGPT might excel in some areas, for Black Friday bargain hunting, you'll still need a human touch. Robots: 0, Humans: 1.

New OpenAI CEO to investigate firing of Sam Altman

The new head of OpenAI plans to investigate the firing of co-founder Sam Altman and reform the company's management after a dramatic shakeup.

The turmoil at OpenAI concluded with former Twitch leader Emmett Shear taking over as interim CEO, while Microsoft announced hiring Altman and co-founder Greg Brockman to lead a new advanced AI research team.

Despite the upheaval, both Shear and Microsoft's CEO expressed commitment to their partnership.

Altman, who helped make ChatGPT famous, had been dismissed due to alleged communication issues with the board.

Shear aims to rebuild trust, initiate management changes, and drive organizational improvements, emphasizing it's not a disagreement on safety that led to Altman's removal.
