Premium car marque to integrate ChatGPT

DS - the premium car brand and subsidiary of Citroën is set to integrate ChatGPT, an AI model known for its natural language generation, into its entire car range by the end of the year.

This move aims to bolster DS's existing voice recognition technology, providing drivers with travel advice, recommendations, quizzes, and even entertainment for children during road trips.

Yves Bonnefont, Stellantis'(Owner of Citroën, Fiat, Peugeot to name a few…) chief software officer, expressed awe at ChatGPT's interactive capabilities, making it a valuable addition to DS's models equipped with the DS IRIS infotainment system.

Initially offered for free to the first 20,000 owners during a six-month pilot phase, this integration seeks to enhance the overall travel experience for DS customers.

Study suggests ChatGPT can help predict interest rates

Researchers at Sheffield Hallam University's Sheffield Business School have employed the generative AI program ChatGPT to analyze speeches made by Bank of England policymakers between 1997 and June of the current year.

By classifying these speeches as dovish, neutral, or hawkish, the AI was able to predict interest rate decisions with a 32% accuracy rate, considered significant in social science statistical predictions.

Additionally, the research found that members of the Committee who delivered more neutral speeches were more inclined to vote for interest rate hikes at subsequent meetings.

This innovative approach has implications for forecasting policy decisions and modeling economic expectations.
