The fist of many acquisitions we feel as OpenAI start showing Microsoft what can be done with their $10B investment, before it runs out… 😬

AI's ChatGPT has been caught showing off its liberal bias, causing quite the ruckus in the virtual world. Researchers from the University of East Anglia gave ChatGPT some political questions to chew on, expecting responses from the liberal crowd. Lo and behold, ChatGPT delivered answers that would make any left-leaning heart skip a beat.

Despite AI companies' attempts to teach bots some neutrality manners, it seems these digital fellas can't help but pick up some wild ideas from the internet's endless party. And don't you just love it when AI bots, those opinion-free virtual pals, decide to embrace their inner political pundit?

As the world gets cozy with these "generative" chatbots, including the star of the show, ChatGPT, the debate around politics and tech gets spicier than a jalapeño in a salsa contest. Remember, folks, when you teach a bot from a wide range of internet data, it's like sending them to an all-you-can-eat buffet of human biases and stereotypes.

So, while AI firms claim their bots are as neutral as Switzerland, it turns out these digital buddies might have a favorite political t-shirt hidden in their virtual closets. In the era of bots helping out with everything from writing emails to running political campaigns, it's quite a spectacle to see them accidentally don a "Vote for Me" sash.

As we venture further into this bot-filled reality, it's clear that even robots can't escape the allure of partisan leanings. After all, where else would an AI bot learn to be opinionated if not from the oh-so-balanced realm of the internet? 💁🏻‍♂️

Travel giant Tui is piloting ChatGPT, an advanced AI chatbot, in the UK to enhance bookings through its MyTui app. CEO Sebastian Ebel sees ChatGPT as a key element in boosting package production and sales. With 80% of package customers using the app pre-departure and online bookings via the app doubling to 9%, Tui aims to increase app bookings to 50% to reduce distribution costs.

The trial leverages generative AI to provide personalized destination descriptions, integrating with Tui Musement for booking excursions within the app. ChatGPT has already engaged over 10,000 customers. Tui plans to extend generative AI to post-holiday customer communication, knowledge base analysis, language translation, and internal code creation and testing. This reflects Tui's broader commitment to innovative technology solutions to enhance customer interactions and operational efficiency.

In a dimly lit Williamsburg bar, a comedic showdown took place that seemed to symbolize the crossroads of human wit and artificial intelligence. Comedian Matt Maran found himself squaring off against a ChatGPT-powered version of Sarah Silverman in what was touted as a groundbreaking AI vs. human roast battle. Maran's efforts to rally human empathy fell flat as his jokes missed their mark, while the AI-powered Silverman delivered quips with a metronomic precision. The event, although light-hearted, offered a glimpse into the evolving realm of AI-generated humor and the challenges it poses to the essence of human comedy.

As AI language models like ChatGPT gain momentum, the once-unassailable notion of human exclusivity in comedy has been disrupted. Comedians like Jimmy Kimmel have tested AI-written jokes on their shows, hinting at a future where machines might routinely generate humor. Experts predict that it's just a matter of time before AI becomes a comedy powerhouse, yet the debate lingers about whether AI can truly capture the nuanced subtleties, cultural context, and emotional depth intrinsic to human comedy. While AI can craft jokes, the element of surprise and the ability to read and connect with an audience on an emotional level remain elusive.

This interplay between AI's computational capabilities and the intricate nature of comedy leaves comedians pondering what unique human traits can safeguard the art of laughter from being entirely overtaken by algorithms. 🤔
