Elon Musk debuts ‘Grok’ AI bot to rival ChatGPT

Part human, part AI bot himself, Mr Elon Musk has finally announced the AI bot developed by xAI to rival chatbots like ChatGPT. Welcome to the universe, the fantastically named… Grok!

After the week of meeting Rishi Sunak and re-iterating Elons growing fears of unregulated AI resulting in human catastrophe, Musk has now announced his rival AI bot.

What’s the difference so far? Well, Grok is said to be witty with answers, sometimes rebellious and answer the ‘spicy’ questions that ChatGPT won’t. Ooo la la, Fifty Shades of Grok perhaps.

X Premium (formally Twitter blue) users who pay the subscription of $16 a month will soon be able to test the beta version of Grok. One major difference will be the data that Grok the LLM will scrape from X. We’re sure it’s getting it’s information from a reliable source. Gulp!

How Canva Uses OpenAI to save time and improve

Online design giants Canva, have incorporated OpenAI into all areas of the company to save time and improve their products. But not just any old ChatGPT, but ChatGPT Enterprise.

If you’ve used Canva in the last year you’ll have seen constant AI updates to the design space. In August this year, Open AI invited Canva to be one of the companies to test the new ChatGPT Enterprise.

After just two months of using ChatGPT Entreprise, Canva employees from every department had announced significant improvements to the speed of their work. These included writing code, frontend developments and even creating AI using AI.

Canva, PLC, Zapier and Estée Lauder may be the first big companies to pave the way for others to follow the Enterprise suit.

ChatGPT Wrapper Startup Founders see risks develop

ICYMI (In case you missed it for those not ‘down with the kids’), many startup companies have been developing businesses off the back of a ChatGPT wrapper.

What is a ChatGPT wrapper? In the most simplest of terms, you build an application, it sends information to ChatGPT, which takes something called the API, and then sends it back to your application, and then to the consumer. It’s much more complicated than that, but you get the gist.

In the most recent ‘downfall’ of ChatGPT wrappers startups, OpenAI took out a number of PDF reader companies in one fail swoop, by adding a PDF reader function to ChatGPT.

Previously, companies had built functions for AI to read your PDF’s and summarise them with all of it’s information. These were proving to be quite lucrative as a 100+ page PDF document could be analysed in a matter of seconds.

But now… OpenAI has implemented that idea into ChatGPT and PDF.AI is no longer required.

Why is this significant? Well, as many start ups race to become the latest million pound acquired businesses by some lucrative VC's, OpenAI could ‘take them out’ on any given day.
