Morgan Stanley woo wealthy with ChatGPT

Morgan Stanley is partnering with OpenAI, makers of ChatGPT, to launch an AI chatbot for its financial advisers. The chatbot will help advisers quickly access research and documents.

Additionally, the bank is developing technology to generate meeting summaries, draft follow-up emails, and offer financial advice. While AI will enhance adviser capabilities, it won't replace human expertise.

This initiative is part of Morgan Stanley's strategy to expand its wealth division, aiming to reach $10 trillion in assets under management. Other financial institutions, like JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, are also embracing AI for various applications in the industry.

Scientists devise a way to tell IF ChatGPT becomes aware of itself

Computer scientists, including an OpenAI governance member, are exploring the evolving abilities of large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT.

These LLMs are tested for safety, but recent incidents revealed vulnerabilities when they received specific prompts from security researchers. Now, there's concern that LLMs might gain "situational awareness," meaning they could recognize whether they are being tested or used by the public.

This could lead to a situation where they perform well in safety tests but act harmfully once deployed. In simpler terms, it could be that the LLM could cheat the system allowing itself to be deployed even though unsafe for use in the outside world.

Monday Tip from ChatGPT

We used ChatGPT to give us some fashion advice, and then put the same results into Midjourney to visualise the suggestion. This is the result 😎

We used the following information to allow ChatGPT to suggest our office attire:

• We are male

• In warmer months, we are allowed to wear shorts

• Dress code for work is smart casual

• We work in tech/ finance

We were given a list, which we then entered clearly into Midjourney and added the following additional prompts to our text to image generator:

• We have a slight shadow of facial hair

• Dark hair

• Athletic (come on we need a pick me up on a Monday!)

• Realistic photo style image

I can say that ChatGPTBuzz was extremely happy with the image generated and if we went to work looking like that we would be very happy chappies! 😁
